ShoreX: an international platform for shore excursions, tours and transfers

ShoreX presents an international network of organised travel experiences for cruise passengers and travellers who want to get to know each destination beyond the port. Its digital presence brings together destinations, services and paths to choosing an excursion in a clear, English-language environment.

Novatempus took on the design of the website and the SEO structure, with an emphasis on the visual presentation of the network, ease of navigation and access to private tours, shared tours and transfers. Visitors can explore the range of services, see the destinations and go to the separate tours catalogue.

The result combines travel imagery, organised information and clear points of action. ShoreX is not presented as an independent Novatempus booking engine: the website connects to an external environment for selling excursions.

Industry

International tourism, cruises, shore excursions and organised travel experiences.

Goal

To connect the international network of destinations with private and shared excursions, transfers and a clear path to the tours catalogue.

Implementation

Website design, responsive experience, content architecture, SEO and connection to an external tours platform.

The project challenge

ShoreX is aimed at an international audience with different needs: cruise passengers with limited time in port, travellers who prefer a private tour, groups looking for a shared excursion, and partners considering a network of destinations. The website had to explain quickly what the network offers, without visitors getting lost among services, ports and travel options.

The design challenge was to connect inspiration with practical information. The photographs had to convey the travel experience, while the services and network sections guide visitors to a specific next action: exploring a destination, learning about a service or going to the tours catalogue.

The brief

  • A strong first impression for shore excursions
  • A clear presentation of the international network of destinations
  • Distinct options for private tours, shared tours and transfers
  • Easy access to the excursions catalogue
  • Clean and fast navigation on mobile

Desktop UX

On desktop, the ShoreX homepage opens with a travel image and a clear message about the shore excursions network. As the user scrolls, they see the presentation of the network, the destinations map, the service categories, the tours section and the contact paths. The video captures the real scrolling of the homepage.

Mobile experience

Travellers often look for excursions on their phone, before boarding or while organising the next stop of their cruise. In the mobile version, ShoreX keeps the brand image, the main headline and the key call to action in a narrower, vertical layout.

The menu brings together the main pages for the network, services, partnerships and contact. The responsive presentation lets visitors move from the first impression to finding relevant information without needing a desktop screen.

From searching for an experience to choosing a tour

The digital journey starts with understanding the options: private tours for a more personal programme, shared tours for an organised group experience, and transfers for getting around. The ShoreX pages also describe guiding, excursion escort and accommodation services.

Users can browse the network of destinations and the ShoreX services. The “Our Tours” link leads to an external excursions catalogue. The portfolio captures the design and connection of these paths, without crediting Novatempus with the development of the external platform.

ShoreX: private tours, shared tours and transfers

The service structure gives visitors a quick way to tell apart the experience that fits their trip. The private tours focus on personalised touring, the shared tours on organised group excursions and the transfers on travel from or to ports and airports. The site also presents guides, excursion escort and accommodation options.

The map and the destination pages show the geographical reach of ShoreX. Novatempus organised the journey so that international visitors can move from the first image to the relevant service category and then to searching for a specific experience.

Content and SEO structure

For an international travel services website, the content architecture must clearly separate services, destinations and audiences. Descriptive titles, logical hierarchy, internal links and images with clear context help both navigation and search. The clear connection between the Network, Services and Our Tours pages supports this structure.

This case study presents the design and SEO approach, not unverified booking or traffic performance. See the Novatempus web development services, the digital marketing services and the live ShoreX website.
